Description
Epinephrine (Adrenaline) is a lyophilized preparation of 1-epinephrine bitartarate. Epinephrine is used in routine platelet aggregation studies for evaluation of qualitative platelet function disorders. Epinephrine (Adrenaline) causes a biphasic aggregation curve in normal platelets, with a primary wave of aggregation followed by a secondary wave caused by granule release.
